OCT & IVUS

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is one of the ways that uses HD cross-sectional imaging. With the help of light waves, OCT can be executed without any hassle. It reduces the dependency on ultrasound that only provides standard imaging.

IVUS (intravascular ultrasound) is somewhat similar to OCT. However, it requires sound as a medium for its operation. Sometimes, both IVUS and OCT are used during cardiac catheterization to check the condition of the heart.

Both of the procedures are available and used by our doctors frequently for understanding percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and coronary artery disease (CAD).
