Pacemaker Implantation

The pacemaker is a device that keeps track of all the activities of the heart. The device also makes sure that the heart is beating by providing electrical impulses whenever required.

The heart impulses are managed by sinoatrial nodes (SA) located near to right atrium. These impulses generated from SA travel to the atrioventricular via atria. However, due to rupture, these SA fails to deliver impulses. As a result, the heart requires an artificial device such as a pacemaker for its functioning.

To execute the treatment, our doctors give sedation followed by anaesthesia. Prior to the implantation, doctors also attach a long intravenous line IV for the injection of medication. Then, through an incision in the chest, the doctor administers the pacemaker process.
